Not as intuitive as the Lexicon, but wow!
I have to work a little harder, and had to read more of the manual to get my head round this one. But the payoff is huge as this sounds like nothing else I own. Stunning.

Incredible Value
Ive been very happy with all of the UAD reverb offerings that I have purchased and this one is no exception. For some, the RMX16 could almost be your only reverb. Sounds just like it should, looks just like it should. I can't imagine not having it around at this point. It's definitely become an invaluable creative tool for me. I'd encourage anyone to try it.

My vocal never sounded so good
I used the RMX16 demo on my vocal track and I was totally blown away. Lexicon 224 is also great, but RMX16 is a bit cleaner and sits quite nicely in the track. I am very happy with it.

Magical flavor in a reverb.
I bought this one before trying it out and was pleasantly surprised indeed! It seems like it doesn't take me very long to find a great preset and to be able to tweak it to my needs. There's just something about the sound of this reverb plug-in, it's got it's own magical flavor and sits well in the mix. I love it on drums and percussion. Nice!

Blast from the past
It's feels like meeting an old friend again, and just getting that familiar fuzzy feeling.
I have never mixed in a studio that had multiple RMX16's ...but now I can ;)
My favorite use was always the Room preset, set flat around 1,2 ms...and then pre delay so it fits your 1/16 or 1/8 notes.
Makes a really nice diffuse slap that works both on your hi hat and percussive elements...even vocals.

Good Reverb
Didn't have the time to exploit at the maximum but I use it in synths, this works great for electronic music or Hip-hop. Buttons are a bit wired to work with in 2016 but you can just input a value and that works for me.I love reverbs but I usually mix them really discretely, I already own the EMTs and the Lexicon so the RMX16 isn't a great surprise for me but is good to have another great flavor in my ambiances.

Unique Reverb Unit
I love using reverb and delay's in my projects and as such I am always looking for different and unique sounds. This is one of those plugins that you might not use all the time but when the mood is right it just shines.

The search is over
I'm a die-hard 80's junky. Epic toms. Spacious vocals. Lively synths. I've spent much of my career trying to emulate those mixes. I've got a lot of the classic processors, too: Quantec, Publison, Eventide, etc.
BUT… one thing was always missing. The AMX-16. I've tried to fake it with my DN-780s and my SP-2016s. They are great units, but they don't DO the AMX thing. I was resigned to trying to find a functional one, and paying big bucks.
Then, this plugin happened. I've been more excited by this plugin than any other piece of software I've ever purchased. It is the SOUL of the AMX-16, but with all the benefits of in-the-box. Recall. Lower noise. Multiple instances (assuming your DSP can handle it!) The true love comes home!

Awesome emulation of a true icon
There are few reverbs in musical history that are as iconic and instantly recognisable as the RMX 16. Even non studio geeks will recognise it even if they don't know it by name.
Most famous for the non-lin and ambience programs, but the others can be very useful!
There are other reverb plugins that can get you in the same ballpark as the RMX but they do not give you the sound of the actual hardware which adds a lot. It will give you this thick, dark and dirty sound that is totally unique.
It is not only for recreating 80's music nostalgia but can be used in modern music as well in various creative ways.
It gets a point off for not including additional programs, poorly rendered GUI, high price and DSP usage. But totally worth it still!

Great reverb for the price
This plug is outstanding! It is not neutral and for my purpose it is perfect.
I have worked years with altiverb which is for me the most natural sounding convolution reverb plug in; I was happy with it but always found it a bit complicated to obtain the result I wanted to do.
This AMS RMX16 reverb bring its own color as soon as you plug it, and it is very musical, it works really great on all kind of mixes from jazz to rock to classical music.
If you want a very natural reverb, this one will not be the best one on the market but if you want a reverb really easy to use, which sound immediately good and with creative purpose, this is the one for you ;-)

Ist sein Geld wert!!!!
Das ist absolut mein Lieblingshall. Leider ein bißchen teuer.

best software reverb on the planet
this is simply the best sounding reverb you can get besides lexicons 480/960l. due to its vintage nature the editing is also
stoneaged. it made 5 other high class plug-ins unemployed after 5 minutes of trying....

Follow-up Review... Clean and perfect!
I just wanted to add... this reverb just sounds so perfect, I don't know how else to put it. There is virtually no effort to get a good sound out of it. Sits in my mix tight. It sounds clean and perfect!

AMS RMX16 Wow?! Incredible! Believe it!
I have always used the UAD Lexicon 224 for my vocals I just love the way it sounds, but this RMX16, I don't know there is just something extra special about this reverb. I'd put this up against the hardware any day. This is stellar... now I have a new vocal reverb tool! Thank you!

Demo'd loved it but too expensive to buy
Just used these on a finished track, but my demo expired before it was printed. I did a work around using the PCM native reverb and effects bundle got the same result. But the UAD AMS is so very much quicker and easy to use. Without reading the manual I got the AMS plug in where I wanted it to be within a minute and then a little bit of tweaking as the mix built. If it was a 100USD I'd buy it today.
Actually I think the product is 5 star and the price 2 star, But I couldn't justify a low 3 overall so it gets only a 4 but just because its expensive.

Amazing!
Simply Amazing! It reminds me of the warm sound of the original 100 % Five stars!

Rich and Lush...
I don't have experience with the hardware version, so I can't compare. But, I do know this plugin sounds so rich, full and lush...it makes vocals sound huge if you need it to. Drums too! A resource hog, but worth it!

The real deal
If you're after that rmx16 sound then look no further.
