Amazing summing.
Iv used alot of summing units over the last 10 years. I currently use an Ssl Sigma. But now Iv also got access to Neve Api summing. Using two Apollo's via virtual uad channel with pro tools Aux i/o . Has become a game changer in my studio work flow. I can now sum directly to Luna with in pro tools ultimate. And with no lantancy. The Neve summing that Uad has achieved here is serious. It's not subtle it's obvious the second you turn it on. The Neve 3 dimensional sound and warmth is instantly notable. Being able to do blends in any mix or master is a dream. If you are not wanting to do a full change of Daw because you use Tools. This method is a must. Luna sounds awesome too. But Api clean and Neve saturation on an aux bus with no lantancy. Game changer. Uad more console summing please.

I’ll mix it as good as I can first in Reason and then bounce it down and head into Luna just to get the glue and polish that the Neve Summing is giving.. Then ideally, I’ll hand it off to my favorite mastering engineer. I do wish it would make its way to VST format somehow to keep it all in Reason but in the meantime I’ve found a viable solution to implement it. Whatever magic is underneath the hood, it does indeed make a difference.

Sounds pretty amazing!
This is one powerful tool! I don't own an outboard summing unit- but i have used them! So, my first idea was to send a mix/master to some mastering engineer friends who DO use the real vintage units to see what they thought.
Only one of the three could tell that i hadn't sent my mixes to be mastered by one of the others! Hahaha

Best UAD Tape Machine if you ask me?!
The Studer and Oxide are cool enough and have a LOT of options- but for my ears the Ampex ATR-102 Tape Machine is the most authentic and best sounding "Tape" you can find!

The sound of this plugin is fantastic. It gives everything a buttery sweetness and bakes it into the cobbler of your dreams. Live soundboard mixes really benefit when combined with a great mastering compressor like the Shadow Hills plugin. Very pleased!

I demoed this Ampex ATR-102 and it sounded awesome for what I was working on at the moment, so I bought it straight away. But after spending all that money it didn’t sound that great anymore. And I all ready had a good tape plugin, but I went greedy and wanted better. If you have the money to spend it is definitely worth the bucks, but I don’t make money off of my music, I just do it for fun so I should have settled with what I had. Or bought the cheaper one, Oxide Tape.
