Fantastic
Unit sounds great. The I/O is ample enough on its own, let alone having expansion capabilities. I wish the console had more of an open matrix, but that could be added later, it would be great, but I'm already pretty happy.

Amazing Apollo
I have an Apollo Quad, which has transformed my studio, and thank you so much UA!! The Apollo replaced a rack of mixers, effects, prea-mps, compressors, and provides a significant boost to quality and capability. It takes less space and is far more transportable for ofsite recording couple with an ADAT Mic Pre, giving me 12 Mic pre's plus another 4 line inputs all up... not to mention all the incredible UA plug-ins that are available... JUST AMAZING!!!... and, no surprise here, I would highly recommend it it!!

Just Brilliant ...
I've had the Apollo quad w. thunderbolt for 3 weeks and it has not disapointed!
First I can't understand the many complaints about the monitor matrix.
Should you not check your needs before buying or just buy something else?!
Soundwise I now have a better stereo imaging compared to my old interface (MR 816csx). And just an overall better tighter sound.
I love tracking through LA610B, LA-2 and Neve Eq's. I have the hardware 6176 in line and wont say it sounds the same
but the plugin version works a charm and adds some nice character.
And adding tape echo and plate reverb to my HP monitor mix is just brilliant!
I mainly record live jazz and for this purpose it works and sounds brilliant.

Apollo Quad
It's the best money I spent in my life. The sound it's absolutely great, big, nothing like I ever had. You can hear absolutely everything, all the sounds you use in the creation process! It helps a lot with mixing and mastering and the plugins..... The best out there!!!!

In the past i spent a lot of Money buying Interfaces (and selling them afterwards on ebay) to record the Sound of my Breedloveguitars in a natural way. Now i got it. I use the Apollo as the Maininterface with ProTools 11HD. The Sound is natural and filled up with all harmonics. Thanks a lot!

Worth it.
To summarize, the Apollo Quad is a great machine with nice plugins, great look and incredibly clear sound. The PC compatibility is kind of dumb, as I'll need to get an exact firewire card to use it. But I'm of both Mac and PC, so I'll manage.
Good machine. Would recommend.

Apollo Quad Windows 7 problems
The sound is great, but drivers or software are not stable enaugh (W 7 64, Firewire card lacie 800). Alway errors -109 etc. Sometimes ist works fine, and after finishing, a few minutes later errors again...hope you will check this soon.
The plugins are too great to change to native...

Apollo Quad
Extremely happy with my purchase. High build quality and very easy to set up and install.
Monitoring sounds more detailed, crisp and open. Can be a lot more critical as when going through recordings or sample libraries problems really jump out.
I mainly produce dance music however since buying the Apollo I've been reaching for the guitar a lot more! the pre amps sound clean and you can get some really inspiring tones with the plugins.
Now always scheming ways of saving up for more plugins! keep them coming.

New Apollo is fantastic
I bought my Apollo about a month ago and I am beginning to like it more and more each day. I am now finding the sounds in my head much faster. Recording with no latency is great and not having to commit to a sound is really nice. Best purchase for my little studio ever.

The absolute best
The Apollo quad is simply the very best interface out there. I spent months researching all types of Mixers & Audio Interfaces before I made the decision to purchase the Apollo, and I am so happy I did. If your goal is to create great sounding music, then the Apollo is the tool you need to make it happen. I go to sleep dreaming about my Apollo.

but it's has an unexpected click and pop moise during tracking sounds sometimes, i dont know why

The best audio interface of its segment. I gave it 4 stars rating because it has a bit of noise on both headphones.

Simply amazing!
Upgraded from a Presonus Firepod....world of difference! Amazing piece of hardware. Little bit of a learning curve, but its well worth it. My mixes have never ever sounded this good and the plugs-ins are amazing as well. Now, I've never been in, used, or recorded in a top notch studio with all the high end gear, but I imagine this is as close as it gets without dropping a very large wad of cash. If your in the market for something in this range...I would highly recommend the Apollo. Of course, I've never tried any of the other high end gear out there, so take it for what its worth. You will not be unhappy. Oh yeah, and DSP has completely freed up my PC resources! No more hang ups!

Apollo lives up to the hype
Best Audio interface I've ever owned hands down. I bought my Apollo Quad with the Thunderbolt option and it works flawlessly. Now the world of UAD plugins is open to me and they are fantastic.
As an Apollo owner I just received the UA 610-B Tube Preamp and it integrates with the Apollo hardware. I can now record through the 610-B and adjust parameters with the Apollo controls. This is they way audio hardware and software should work together. Job well done Universal Audio!

Apollo Duo
I recently purchased an Apollo Duo to interface with my Protools 10 software. In all regards I am extremely impressed. Firstly, the unit is well built and very easy to set up and install. Integration with Protools is seamless and intuitive. The Apollo console must have been designed by people who understand analog signal flow. After viewing a few tutorial videos and reviewing sections in the owner's manual I was up and running and immediately felt at home. I also utilize a Dangerous Music D-Box in my set up and I'm impressed with the UA converters summing into the analog summing mixer of the D-Box. Costumer service has been top notch as well. Very impressed with the UA plug ins as well. A perfect experience all around. Thanks!
